I read Spare and found it fascinating. The grief of losing a parent at a young age and being left with a parent who isn’t able to show affection or help the child manage the loss. From that perspective, Harry’s story is interesting and I am sure Diana would be proud of how he’s turned out and the man he’s become. Also read MG The Shape of Thunder which is about grief (losing sibling) by Jasmine Warga. Well done. Are you sensing a theme? I’m writing a story where all of this is helping me find my character’s challenges and story arc. Currently reading Dope Sick, by Beth Macy.
