It’s Monday! What are you Reading is a weekly meme hosted by Kathryn from Book Date, a place to share and discuss what we’ve read in the past week and what we’re in the middle of or are planning to read this week.
What I read / listened to last week:
A Forest of Stolen Memories by Callie Thomas

Blood and Ash by Deborah Wilde -a re-read/re-listen of the first two books in this fast-moving urban fantasy series.

Death and Desire by Deborah Wilde

What I am reading/listening to now:
Doc Showmance by Zoe Forward- my first romcom after about ten fantasy books 🙂 Perfect for animal lovers (the protagonists are vets) and, of course, anyone who loves the enemies-to-lovers trope.

What I’m reading /listening to next:
Rule of Wolves by Leigh Bardugo -starting this one today!

How did your last week go and what are you reading this week?

I’m about halfway through listening to The Honeys and just started reading Take My Hand this morning. Did you mention The Honeys last week?

The Honeys is on my tbr, but I’d rather read it than listen to it. What’s your first impression?

It’s well written and I think the author has done an excellent job keeping everything well paced. It’s classified as horror, I think, which is NOT my genre but definitely liking it. The beginning was rough, so hopefully it doesn’t get too much worse than that.

I still need to read Rule of Wolves. I’ve enjoyed all of the other books set in that world, but I haven’t managed to pick it up yet.

So many books, so little time 🙂 Unlike King of Scars it has a lot of recaps… I didn’t pick this duology straight after I read the other ones, so they are really helpful. Hope you like it when you pick it up.
