What I read / listened to last week:
The House of Blood and by Sarah J.Maas- liked this one more than ACOTAR, maybe it’s all about timing, maybe I like this mix of fantasy thriller with pure urban fantasy at the end more than Sarah’s fairy-tale retellings. A few things I didn’t like- the pace in the first 2/3rds of the book is much slower, and the protagonist Bryce gives out the ‘I’m not like other girls’ vibes, but, the world-building is epic. Everything is tied up at the end, so I’d be happy to wait for the next book. Luckily, it’s already out, so I can read the sequel straightaway.
