#Blog Tour #Book Review of Blood Pact (Gallowburn Series 4) by Heather Atkinson @Boldwood Books @rararesources

Thank you to Rachel from Rachel’s Random Resources for inviting me to participate in the blog tour for Blood Pact, the fourth and final instalment and Heather Atkinson’s BloodBrothers series.

Blood Pact

To survive, they’ll need to stick together…

After the defeat of the rival Gordon and Thompson families, the Blood Brothers’ reputations as feared lieutenants of the McVay clan are firmly established. The Gallowburn has become an untouchable stronghold in their capable hands.

However, danger rears its head in another form – Jamie’s deadliest foe, Cameron Abernethy. Still fighting to be released from prison, Cameron decides to use the Lawson family, the Blood Brothers’ biggest rivals, to discover his daughter’s whereabouts.

With his enemies getting closer, and the police on his tail too, Jamie has some impossible choices to make. This is his last chance to live the life he’s dreamed of with the woman he loves, but first he’s got to make sure he’s not caught or killed…

My thoughts:

A strong ending to a gripping series which has earned Heather Atkinson a lot of faithful fans.

Born and raised on the streets of Gallowburn, a poverty-stricken housing estate on the outskirts of Glasgow, ‘blood brothers’ Jamie, Logan, Gary and Digger have always watched out for the interests of the estate residents. They have grown and faced numerous challenges to both Gallowburn, which turned out to be an area plenty of criminal masterminds are keen to make their own, and their close-knit relationship.

Jamie’s love story with free-spirited, feisty Allegra Abernathy was absolutely fascinating. Allegra’s father Cameron will do everything possible and impossible to get out of prison and destroy Jamie and his fiercely loyal friends. Expect lots of action (unfortunately, a lot of violence as well, but it goes with the territory if you choose to pick up a gangland thriller), jaw-dropping twists and turns, and plenty of colourful characters in this final instament.

Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for the review copy, provided in exchange for an honest opinion.
