This year I decided join in the Audiobook Challenge- hosted by Kimberly from Caffeinated Reviewer and Jen from That’s What I’m talking about. It’s time to look at the results and sign up for the new one!

Wisely enough, I went for the second level Weekend Warrior (I’m getting the hang of it) and that was exactly right for me 🙂 These are the audiobooks I really enjoyed listening to this year:
- The Outlander by Diana Gabaldon
- The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren
- The Witch’s Heart by Genevieve Gornichec
- The Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman
- Neon Gods by Katee Robert
- The Family Upstairs by Lisa Jewell
- The Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
- Archibald Finch and The Lost Witches by Michel Guyon
Time to sign up for the new 2022 challenge and invite all of you to join it as well!

Achievement Levels
- Newbie (I’ll give it a try) 1-5
- Weekend Warrior (I’m getting the hang of this) 5-10
- Stenographer (can listen while multitasking) 10-15
- Socially Awkward (Don’t talk to me) 15-20
- Binge Listener (Why read when someone can do it for you) 20-30
- My Precious (I had my earbuds surgically implanted) 30+
- Marathoner (Look Ma No Hands) 50+
- Over-Achiever (Power Listener) 75+
- The 100 Club (Audiobook Addict) 100+
Challenge Details
- Runs January 1, 2022 – December 31, 2022. You can join at any time.
- The goal is to find a new love for audios or to outdo yourself by listening to more audios in 2022 than you did in 2021.
- Books must be in audio format (CD, MP3, etc.)
- ANY genres count.
- Re-reads and crossovers from other reading challenges are allowed.
- You do not have to be a book blogger to participate; you can track your progress on Goodreads, Facebook, LibraryThing, etc.
- If you’re a blogger grab the button and do a quick post about the challenge to help spread the word. If you’re not a blogger you can help by posting on Facebook or Tweet about the challenge.
- Updates plus a giveaway will be posted twice during the year. The first update will be July 2, 2021, and the last update will take place on December 30, 2022.

I’m going for the second level of achievement again! I love the name – Weekend Warrior and feel oddly empowered by it 🙂
- Do you like listening to audiobooks? if yes, are you going to join this challenge in 2022?
I am not a fan of audio books….

Fair enough, they aren’t everyone’s favourite. They can be a bit of a hit and miss for me. A lot depends on the narrators… What about you? Is there any particular reason you prefer other formats?

I actually get bored listening to them…which is odd, I know

I can relate… With audiobooks you can’t skim or skip, so you kind of have to endure it and then it stops being enjoyable.

Thank you, Jonetta! Some books I can’t imagine reading after having listened to the audiobook! Hope to add lots of great audiobooks to my tbr after reading your posts!

I wish I enjoyed audiobooks as it would really help me get through my TBR – all that commuting time where I could be listening! I’m so pleased you enjoyed this challenge and well done on completing it.

I mix’n’match- read and listen to the same book depending on time and place- I can’t read on buses, so I listen, but trains are ok for any format, so I mostly read on them. Thank you so much! Still going for the same level this year 🙂

I’m considering it, as I have read some the past couple of years, though not a ton. I often drift off to sleep listening, then I don’t know where I left off. I’m trying to convert to them as I’m having difficulty with my vision due to wet macular degeneration slowly taking it away. I didn’t happen to see the button to join for some reason. My Windows 11 seems to hide them quite often I guess. Glad you enjoyed it and are going for it again. If I figure out how to join, I’ll take the same Weekend Warrior level.
